Cork City Council will present revised plans for the redevelopment of Cork's docklands to the government in September.

Before the property market collapsed, Howard Holdings, the development company which successfully redeveloped the Lapp's Quay area of the city, had major plans to transform the docklands.

These included the construction of Europe's largest single-span open bridge, 550,000 square feet of office space, a four-star hotel, 575 apartments and an event and conference centre capable of hosting...
