Bishopstown company Abtran has secured a five-year contract to provide outsourced customer services to Electric Ireland's 1.2 million customers around the country.

Abtran, which has worked with Electric Ireland since 2004, will continue to work with the energy provider to re-engineer its current service offering through advances in technology, customer analytics and service innovation.
