Consumers are being encouraged to ‘‘share information’’ to hold financial services providers to account.

Speaking at the European Consumer Centre’s conference on older consumers’ rights last week, Dermott Jewell, chief executive of the Consumers Association of Ireland (CAI), said that consumers needed ‘‘to speak to each other more and spread consumer information’’.
