Consumer prices rise 1.2% since October 2011

UPDATE: Consumer prices decreased by 0.1 per cent in October but rose 1.2 per cent in the year to the end of the month, according to the Central Statistics Office.

Consumer prices rise 1.2% since October 2011
Prices rose slightly over the last year but fell a small amount in October.

Consumer prices decreased by 0.1 per cent in October but rose 1.2 per cent in the year to the end of the month, according to the latest consumer price index information from the Central Statistics Office.

The year to date figure is a drop from the 1.6 per cent it stood at in September.

The price gauge is likely to rise further this winter because recent energy price rises yet to fully impact on index, Davy Stockbrokers said...
