Consumer groups and Gardai to discuss fraud
Senior gardai will meet representatives of consumer bodies on Tuesday to discuss ways of tackling fraud more efficiently.
Internet fraud such as ‘‘skimming’’ - the use of an electronic stripe reader that records information stored on credit and debit cards - and the identification of at least 20 gangs running fraud operations has prompted the groups to consider more ways to deal with the problem.
