The construction sector expanded again in March, growing at its fastest pace since January 2006, a new survey showed.

The Ulster Bank construction purchasing managers’ index (PMI), a seasonally-adjusted index designed to track changes in the sector, rose to 60.2 in March from 56.2 the previous month. This is the seventh monthly increase in a row.

New orders increased at the fastest pace seen so far this year while job creation and sentiment levels also rose.
