Connected News: Dublin gets sensored

Intel and Dublin City Council have announced a project which will see Dublin become the first densely sensored' city in the world.

Intel and Dublin City Council have announced a project which will see Dublin become the first densely sensored' city in the world. The four-year co-innovation project will test the use of sensors in city management and citizen engagement.

Using Intel's Quark-based Gateway platforms, 200 sensing gateways will initially be placed around Dublin City to gather and monitor environmental data, in particular air quality and noise.
