Home heating management firm Climote took home the Product of the Future prize at the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland show in Dublin last month.

Derek Roddy, founder of Climote, said the firm was competing directly with products such as Nest, which was recently acquired by Google. The Co Louth business has 12 employees and has raised Euro 4 million in funding to date.
