Conferencing: In the swing of things
While there's plenty to do in Cavan as well as excellent conferencing facilities, the world-class golfing at Slieve Russell has always been a major attraction, writes Linda Daly.
The Irish Open golf tournament has had a positive impact on the conferencing market in Ulster this year, according to Brigid Manley, sales and marketing manager with the Slieve Russell Hotel, Golf and Country Club.
"While the open is taking place in Portrush in north Antrim, all of the north is benefiting," Manley said. "Certainly the Slieve Russell has seen an increase in the conferencing side."
