The refurbished Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny offers conference delegates everything that a modern city and venue can, and it's located just 60 minutes from Dublin, writes Linda Daly.

A€5 million refurbishment programme at the Newpark Hotel on the Castlecomer Road in Kilkenny is nearing completion, with just soft refurbishment tasks remaining. The scheme began in 2008 after the Flynn family purchased the four-star, 200-bedroom hotel.

Throughout the refurbishment, every aspect of the hotel was touched, with the leisure and spa facilities, accommodation and public areas receiving particular attention.
