The new chairwoman of Dublin Tourism has warned that a shortage of four and five-star hotel bedrooms could reduce the amount of business the National Conference Centre attracts when it opens in 2010.

The new chairwoman of Dublin Tourism has warned that a shortage of four and five-star hotel bedrooms could reduce the amount of business the National Conference Centre attracts when it opens in 2010.

In an interview with The Sunday Business Post, Ann Riordan also said the government should use tax incentives to address any shortfall.

Riordan said the closure of the Berkeley Court and Jurys Hotel in Ballsbridge would affect the number of premium hotel beds...
