Concrete firm in €11.5m acquisition

Concrete firm Cemex Ireland has paid €11.5 million for Tipperary company Denis Tarrant & Sons Ltd. Established in 1980, the Kilfeacle company manufactures and supplies aggregate and ready-mixed concrete.

Concrete firm Cemex Ireland has paid €11.5 million for Tipperary company Denis Tarrant & Sons Ltd. Established in 1980, the Kilfeacle company manufactures and supplies aggregate and ready-mixed concrete.

It has a turnover of €8.1 million and gross assets of €8.6 million. Under the terms of the Cemex deal, all of its existing 26 staff will remain with the company, which will henceforth trade under the Cemex Ireland brand.
