Concerns are mounting over the government's commitment to extend breast cancer screening, with charities fearing it will not happen.
The plan was to extend the screening to women aged between 65 and 69.
The Irish Cancer Society has called for priority to be given to the screening programme to ensure that it is rolled out in 2014.
