Concern for Turkish lawyers raised by Law Society

The president of the Law Society, James McCourt, has written to the Turkish ambassador to Ireland expressing “deep concern” about the treatment of lawyers in Turkey.

The president of the Law Society, James McCourt, has written to the Turkish ambassador to Ireland expressing “deep concern” about the treatment of lawyers in Turkey.

McCourt said that Irish solicitors were particularly concerned about “the protection of lawyers in the exercise of their professional duties”.
