Company owed €400k by Kendar goes into liquidation

An office fit-out company that is owed almost €400,000 by Kendar, the property firm run by rogue solicitor Michael Lynn, has gone into liquidation.

Welplan (Ireland), based in Stillorgan, Dublin, is being wound up with debts of almost €1.5 million. It owes more than €450,000 to staff and almost €220,000 to the Revenue Commissioners.

The company’s other creditors include Bank of Ireland and a range of suppliers.

Welplan was in business for 35 years and supplied office partitions and toilet cubicles. It employed 63 people in 2007, when it had turnover of €14.7 million. However, turnover fell...
