A music and social networking company backed by the family investment vehicle of the late Ryanair founder, Tony Ryan, has become the latest victim of the economic downturn.

Dublin-based Blastbeat organised music and business competitions for second-level students in a number of countries, and had negotiated a major sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola.
