Denis O’Brien’s Communicorp and Irish radio investors Vienna Investments last night emerged as the two frontrunners in the race to win Emap’s radio assets.

Talks intensified between the two consortia and the sellers yesterday, after Vienna Investments increased its offer for the three stations according to sources close to the process. Today FM, FM104 and Highland Radio look set to sell for over €200 million.
