Commtech buys out rival Sentryst

Commtech, a Dublin firm that distributes technology security products, has bought rival firm Sentryst in a deal that should double its turnover to €9 million this year.

Commtech, a Dublin firm that distributes technology security products, has bought rival firm Sentryst in a deal that should double its turnover to €9 million this year.

Justin Owens, the managing director of Commtech, said the deal had been completed in recent weeks after three months of negotiations.

He would not comment on how much Commtech paid for Sentryst, but industry sources said it was likely to be about €1 million.
