COMMENT: Sinn Fein gobbles Labour working class vote

The promissory note issue will be transformative for the government, one way or another, writes Pat Leahy.

A lot of the reaction to our poll yesterday centred on the decline of the Labour vote, which dropped by three points to 11 per cent since our last poll at the end of November.

Labour was also at 11 per cent in the Sunday Times poll, suggesting that the party's support is roughly where it was before the financial crisis hit in 2008.
