Ignoring Weber’s warning on contracts for difference

When Brian Weber gave an interview criticising the use of contracts for difference (CFDs) and the failure of the government to tax them, he took some flak from competitors in the wealth management business, according to market sources. Weber, executive director of wealth manager CitiQuilter, told the Irish Times last year that the use of CFDs as a speculative instrument was questionable.
