Online payment business Stripe has entered the Chinese market.

Online payment business Stripe has entered the Chinese market, with access to 300 million users through a deal struck with the country’s biggest internet company.

Stripe – valued at $1.75 billion and founded by Limerick-born brothers Patrick and John Collison – has formed a partnership with Alipay, the payment unit of Alibaba, the company that operates in the Ebay and Amazon space in China.
