Collins bucks trend for FF

Fianna Fáil’s Niall Collins bucked the national trend to top the poll in Limerick county with 9,361 first-preference votes.

Fianna Fáil’s Niall Collins bucked the national trend to top the poll in Limerick county with 9,361 first-preference votes.

However, he was almost 2,000 votes short of a quota of 11,261, following the first count last night.

Fine Gael TD Dan Neville and his running mate, Patrick O’Donovan, were elected on the fourth count. Neville received 11,728 votes, while O’Donovan received 11,316.
