Carlow company Codd Mushrooms has invested €3 million in a new production facility, creating 15 harvesting and production jobs.

The high-tech facility replaces the traditional hooped tunnels the company has used to grow mushrooms since its establishment 19 years ago.

‘‘We are the first in Ireland to build a modern, automated mushroom factory,” said Leslie Codd, managing director, Codd Mushrooms.
