Boat tours, walking trails, music festivals and exhibitions are among the events planned for Titanic 100 Cobh 2012, a year-long festival which will commemorate the centenary of the Titanic's voyage.

Cobh was the last port of call for the Titanic before it set out on its ill-fated Atlantic voyage.

The event will combine large, high-profile occasions with smaller community initiatives, and is expected to attract thousands of visitors to the town, according to project director Marc Anderson.
