Why go to the cloud? Accenture's Padraig Sugrue tells Ian Campbell that there are a number of reasons, including cost saving.

Accenture's own experience puts pay to the argument that cloud isn't necessarily about saving money.

When it moved its email and collaboration software to a public platform the company saved around $10 million per annum.

The scale of the company made such a spectacular return possible, with 250,000 mailboxes and 11,000 collaboration sites involved in the mass migration.
