Cloud: Ready for national aspirations

Ireland's new Cloud Computing Technology Centre, which was announced in April, is already up and running - and has been funded by a €1.2 million investment.

Ireland's new Cloud Computing Technology Centre, which was announced in April, is already up and running - and has been funded by a €1.2 million investment by the government in the initial research programme for the first 12 months.

The cloud centre is a third level research consortium, led by DCU with partners UCC, Athlone IT and the Innovation Value Institute at NUI Maynooth.
