When big IT vendors such as Microsoft first set course for the cloud there was some uncertainty as to what the new model would mean for channel partners and resellers who had built businesses around on-site ICT deployment. The smart ones had already seen that the days of selling boxes with break/fix contracts were numbered and were moving into services. But the cloud threatened a whole new paradigm where their presence was not necessarily required....
