Cloud: Hosted PBX finally comes of age
Strencom provides more compelling reasons why cloud is the way to go, by taking telephony off-site and bundling it with a suite of unified tools. Ian Campbell reports.
Outside Microsoft's data centre, there are only around a dozen instances of a third-party delivering Microsoft Lync to businesses as a hosted service. Strencom, the Irish network solutions company, is one of them.
"It's a very progressive thing that we're doing and, unlike the Microsoft-hosted option in Ireland, you can use it to call other non-Lync users across the PSTN network," said Strencom's chief executive Tim Murphy.
