Closing the funding gap
Irish firms still say they can't get funding from banks, while government efforts to help have little impact. So what can be done to help struggling SMEs, asks John Ihle.
Late last month, British business secretary Vince Cable told Liberal Democrat supporters at his party's annual conference something that Irish businesses and voters have been waiting to hear since the Fine Gael/Labour coalition took the reins of power a year and a half ago.
