Irish AIM listed oil and gas exploration company, Clontarf Energy has said it may have discovered oil after reappraising a well originally drilled in 1999.

Irish AIM listed oil and gas exploration company, Clontarf Energy has said it may have discovered oil after reappraising a well originally drilled in 1999.

The company carried out the re-appraisal on a so-called “commitment well” - one that is drilled to satisfy contractual obligations. It is now engaged in joint venture negotiations on its 100 per cent owned Block 188 in southern Peru, which covers 595,809 hectares 100km north east of the Camisea gas field,...
