The latest-generation Renault Clio has beaten the VW Passat by a slim margin to be named Car of the Year 2006. The car has increased in length, bringing it to within an inch of the Mégane. Its 2.57 metre wheelbase is the longest in the supermini class. This, plus extra height and width, promises additional space for passengers and goods.
