Bill Clinton’s North Korea mission may help to soothe tensions between the former president and the Obama administration, writes Niall Stanage in New York
Former US president Bill Clinton returned to the centre of the international stage last week, enjoying a diplomatic triumph when he secured the release of two American journalists from North Korea.
But Clinton’s success in bringing home Laura Ling and Euna Lee, who were being held since their arrest on St Patrick’s Day for allegedly sneaking into the secretive nation from China, raised almost as many questions as it answered.
