Ghosts turn up the heat in Wexford

Two very happy men flew out of Ireland after the opening of this year’s Wexford Festival Opera (WFO). They were John Corigliano and William Hoffman, the composer and librettist of - in Corigliano’s own words,’ ‘ the very strange opera’’ - The Ghosts of Versailles, which received an ecstatic reception the previous evening.
