The Royal Irish Academy of Music is celebrating the victory of South Korean student Soo Yung Ann in one of Europe's most prestigious piano competitions, the bi-annual International Telekom Beethoven Competition.

The Royal Irish Academy of Music is celebrating the victory of South Korean student Soo Yung Ann in one of Europe's most prestigious piano competitions, the bi-annual International Telekom Beethoven Competition in the composer's native city of Bonn. The triumph of the 26-year-old student, who has studied at the academy under John O'Conor and Therese Fahy since 2007, ranks high in the academy's own record of achievements.
