The impressive Helix theatre in the Dublin City University complex had a stuttering start to life, not least because of marketing and identity problems.

In the first place, not many people knew where it was - and that includes northside Dubliners - and, when they discovered the general area, road signposting left a lot to be desired - and still does.

Quite simply, it could have done with a decent cash booster from the government...
