Buena Vista legends hit Dublin for one night

The iconic Buena Vista Social Club album came About more or less by accident.

In 1996,Cubanmusic hadn’t an awful lot going for it and many of its greatest players were out of work and struggling to make ends meet.

The idea to get a group of creaking legends together in a Havana studio with a group of African jazz players was hatched by a US record company that included producer-guitarist Ry Cooder.
