Whatever they are doing in Derry to produce young pianists, they are doing it right.

Three of the pianists chosen to take part in the Axa Dublin International Piano Competition on May 5-19 are from the northern county while the other two of the Irish selection come from Belfast and Dublin.

Altogether over 40 competitors from countries around the world, including the US, Australia, the Far East and Europe, will take part.
