Aman wakes in a flat in Dublin on a Saturday morning. He goes out to buy bread and on the street wishes that he'd gone home to Mayo for the weekend. A friend texts to offer him a lift home that evening. He imagines the trip, their conversation tailing off as they "slip into the soft hopeful phase of the journey" and then arriving for dinner with his mother.
