For 102 years the Clare Championwas the only regional publication to grace the county's newsstands.
The newspaper's monopoly was consigned to history last May when the magazine, Inside Clare, went on sale in the county, followed a month later by the launch of the newspaper, Clare People. The three titles are now jostling for content, adverts, readers and space on newsagent's shelves and the competition is all the more interesting because the publications are all linked by personal connections.
