Clare Duignan to leave role as RTE's radio chief

RTE’s managing director of radio Clare Duignan is leaving the broadcaster. She has not sought a renewal of her contract and will leave RTÉ in June.

RTE’s managing director of radio Clare Duignan is leaving the broadcaster. She has not sought a renewal of her contract and will leave RTÉ in June.

Jim Jennings, Head of RTÉ Radio 1, will take up an interim role as Managing Director for RTÉ Radio.

Duignan said that the decision to leave RTÉ was "one of the hardest things I have ever done".
