Civil service pay increases well above EU average

Irish civil servants enjoyed agreed pay increases of three and a half times the EU average for their sector last year, according to the European Foundation.

Irish civil servants enjoyed agreed pay increases of three and a half times the EU average for their sector last year, according to the European Foundation.

The European Industrial Relations Observatory (EIRO) reported that the agreed pay increase for Ireland's civil service sector was 12.6 per cent, compared with the EU average of 3.6 per cent.
