Citigroup may back O'Brien's Meteor bid

Citigroup, one of the biggest banks in the world, is willing to back Denis O'Brien's bid for mobile operator Meteor, The Sunday Business Post understands.

Citigroup, one of the biggest banks in the world, is willing to back Denis O'Brien's bid for mobile operator Meteor, The Sunday Business Post understands. The bank recently led a $408 million (€336.5 million) fundraising for Digicel, O'Brien's Caribbean mobile business, and is believed to be interested in funding a bid for Meteor.

The bank did not return calls for comment on Friday.
