Cisco Systems is expected to announce plans to create 100 jobs at its plant in Oranmore in Galway later today when Taoiseach Enda Kenny visits the facility.

The company currently employs about 180 people in Oranmore Business Park, and is expected to start recruiting shortly.

Cisco, which was set up by a husband-and-wife team in California in 1984, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of equipment for computer networks.
