Circle Oil announces progress at Egyptian prospect

Circle Oil has announced that it has encountered oil bearing sands during its latest tests at the Egyptian Al Amir SE field and the Geyad field.

Limerick-based oil and gas exploration company, Circle Oil has announced that it has encountered oil bearing sands during its latest tests at the Egyptian Al Amir SE (AASE) field and the Geyad field.

The well encountered 42 ft of net pay in the Kareem Shagar sand and 22 ft in the underlying Rahmi sand with oil bearing sands present to the base of the reservoir, it said.
