Cinema group has profit of €1.7m

Omniplex Holdings, a company controlled by the Ward Anderson cinema group, made a profit of €1.7 million last year, according to accounts just filed.

Omniplex Holdings, a company controlled by the Ward Anderson cinema group, made a profit of €1.7 million last year, according to accounts just filed.

The company, which operates a number of omniplex cinemas around Ireland, had retained profits of €4.4 million for the year ending October 31, 2004, up from €2.7 million for the year before, bringing shareholders' funds to €28.7 million.

The cinema group was established by half brothers Leo Ward, 86, and Kevin Anderson, 90....
