There was fire art on the beach and exhibitions everywhere as artists celebrated the success of one woman's vision in Kerry, writes Ros Drinkwater.

The four-day Cill Rialaig Artists Retreat 21st Anniversary celebrations saw an eruption of art across Ballinskelligs in Co Kerry, with pop-up galleries in garages, pubs, restaurants, shops, churches, the local convent and the GAA grounds, where Brian Lowry's paintings depicted Kerry sporting heroes.

The centre itself had five exhibitions, including two group shows by American and Irish artists with residencies at the retreat.
