Rail, bus and Dart users will face a 10 per cent hike in fares in the new year if the government agrees to an application for fare increases from CIE.

The semi-state transport company wants approval for increases of 10 per cent across rail, bus and Dart services from early next year.

Martin Cullen, the Minister for Transport, will be asked to sanction an increase of 6 per cent in fares and a 4 per cent fuel...
