The churches in Ireland are keen to promote more religious programming on local radio.

The churches in Ireland are keen to promote more religious programming on local radio. A multidenominational group called ICCTRA (the Irish Churches' Council for Television and Radio Affairs) has conducted a survey which, it says, reveals significant commitment to religious programming by local and community radio stations.

It plans to build on that research to promote more cooperation between church and local radio, and to boost its own profile.
