Patrick Kavanagh, a sometime film critic, hated this vast movie. There are others who'll willingly immerse themselves in it any time. Vivien Leigh is tempestuously terrific as Scarlett O'Hara and Clark Gable is pretty darn majestic as Rhett Butler.
