Chinese art goes through the roof

For investors seeking something different, Chinese artist Qi Baishi is definitely worth a look

Canny investors would do well to take note of the latest figures from the art market data organization, Art Price.

Compiled from 6,000 auction houses around the globe, they show Picasso and Warhol topping the 2009 rankings with sales of $143 million between them, but number three on the list is Chinese artist Qi Baishi (1863-1957) with sales of over $70 million.
